Maine 2018 Competition

The current 2018 Guinness Book of World Records in the "Ice Carousel" category is held by Finland. This Carousel was 122 meters (400 feet) in diameter.

On March 18, 2018, a group of people in Northern Maine attempted to break the record by 8 meters (25 feet). The attempt was made on Long Lake in Sinclair, Maine. This video is about the process of creating this Ice Carousel.

.... and they did it! The World's Largest Ice Carousel Record has been taken away from Finland! It measured 426.5 feet, and weighed around 11,000 tons and was 30 inches thick!
