Archived Record for 2022 Record which Guiness finally approved 10 months later in December 2022
This whopping carousel measured in at 1,325 feet (403.8 meters) in diameter.
That is 31.65 acres and 80,000 tons of spinning ice- powered by (1) 11hp and (1) 13hp motor running a 6” prop.
The first full rotation took 3 hours and 3 minutes and continued to spin for a total of 20 continuous hours.
It took 12 man hours to cut the 0.8 miles around- and remember, that’s two cuts a foot apart to create the canal…and trust me, that is FAST!
Accomplished on February 12, 2022 on Green Prairie Fish Lake.
