- Chuck Zwilling spoke on KLTF Monday about the Sunny Zwilling Memorial Ice Fest coming up next weekend February 21st and 22nd starting at 10am both days. Plenty of events for young and old on the at Green Prairie Fish Lake north of Little Falls. Free admission, free concession, there are donations expected to help hungry children and a raffle to win cash prizes. Fireworks at 6pm on Saturday the 21st. This year Chuck said two groups that in the past volunteers many hours of service to set up and take the event are unable to help out and that means more volunteers are definitely needed this year to help set up next week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday even just a few hours or the days would be great, also they need volunteers to help take down on February 23rd. If you can help volunteer please call 320-249-1504 or go to the website at mnicefest.org. and scroll down to the bottom of the page to sign up to help volunteer. All help would be greatly appreciated for Ice Fest coming up next weekend February 21st and 22nd.

- Organizers of Ice Fest this weekend wanted to thank the number of volunteers who showed up yesterday to begin setting up the event Saturday and Sunday on Green Prairie Fish Lake. They are hoping the same number will show up today and Friday, Chuck Zwilling said also they will use volunteers if you can help Sunday after 4pm and next Monday for the tear down. Also Chuck wanted to address he has gotten calls on ice safety with warmer temps in the past 2 weeks, Chuck said they measured the ice yesterday at 24 inches and said the snow has melted in some areas around the ice but ice thickness was not effected by the warm temps as colder air is forecast for the weekend for the free family events for all to come too and enjoy. For details on the event or if you can volunteer is here at mnicefest.org.

- Chuck Zwilling spoke on KLTF Monday announcing that on behalf of I.C.E. Fest 2026 and the Pay It Forward Foundation, they were incredibly honored to present $35,000 in donations this year to three amazing organizations working to fight food insecurity for kids in our community: Flyer Pride Pack – providing weekend food backpacks for students, Kare Kloset – helping students access food, clothing and basic needs and this year also Oasis Central Minnesota – Picnic Pals – bridging the gap of food insecurity during the summer months Because of everyone who volunteered, sponsored, donated, and attended the event, we were able to make this impact together. With this year’s donation, I.C.E. Fest has now contributed a total of $203,000 to support children and families facing food insecurity. Zwilling said that they will be starting plans for the 10th Ice Fest next year February 20th and 21st north of Little Falls.
