There will be a fundraiser benefiting Flyer Pride Pack Weekend Food Backpack Program for the Little Falls public elementary schools on January 6th where also an attempt will be made to create the worlds largest Spinning Ice Carousel. Chuck Zwilling stated that the ice carousel extravaganza will be January 6th on Green Prairie Fish Lake with a number of sponsors and donations being made to the project. More on this program will be talked about with Chuck and also Anita Larsen from the schools on Tuesday morning at 8:45am on AM960 KLTF Community Events program.

Family Working To Build Largest Ice Carousel

(Little Falls, MN) -- A Little Falls family is planning to create the world's largest ice carousel on Saturday.
The twelve siblings are doing it in honor of their father, who owned a logging company in Sauk Rapids for many years. All twelve siblings are experienced in sawing but instead of using wood, they plan to build a 110-meter carousel out of ice. The project will take place from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday. Everyone is invited to watch them in action

(Little Falls, MN) -- The Zwilling family is working to create the world's largest spinning ice carousel. They will be making their attempt Saturday at Green Prairie Fish Lake near Little Falls. The 110-meter spinning carousel will be a circle cut in the ice of a frozen lake that allows the ice to spin. The 12 siblings'  father was a logger and they are going to be putting their inherited sawing skills to good use this weekend.

They did it! Family forged ahead to create 110-foot ice carousel

LITTLE FALLS — Despite some setbacks, the Zwilling family has forged ahead with its ambitious plan to create a massive ice carousel on a Central Minnesota Lake.
And it worked!
At about 6 p.m. Sunday, the St. Cloud Times received a video from Becca Ruegemer, showing the ice carousel turning on the lake.

The Zwilling family attempted to create a 110-meter ice carousel on a lake near Little Falls. It took them longer than they expected, but they did succeed!

"--Congratulations to the Chuck Zwilling family for completing the world record ice carousel Sunday night. The carousel took a lot longer to complete then expected which started around 11am Saturday and got was completed around 6:30pm Sunday. Aviation pictures of the carousel have been posted on a number of facebook sites and reportedly the carousel breaks the world record is set around 111 meters. The event was also to donate to the Flyer Pride Pack backpack program at Lindbergh, Lincoln and Dr. S.G. Knight Elementary schools. As of late Monday, there has been over $4,000 in donations to the backpack program. A special thank you to all who took part and gave to the program this past weekend"
