Reported by: Sarah Kocher - St. Cloud Times You've been warned by the National Weather Service: It's a chilly one out there.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill warning for central and southern Minnesota beginning at 9 p.m. Saturday and running through midday Sunday, around 1 p.m. Until then, there's a wind chill advisory for the portion of the state along and north of Minnesota Highway 23

During the advisory, the wind chill will be close to 25 degrees below zero, but during the wind chill warning, prepare for wind chills as low as 50 degrees below zero. The National Weather Service advises avoiding outdoor activities, and if you can't, bundle up big-time. The wind chills can quickly cause frostbite on exposed skin.

The warning transitions to a watch Sunday afternoon through Monday morning for areas west of Interstate Highway 35. According to the National Weather Service, wind chill values could reach 35 degrees BELOW ZERO during this time.
